Welcome to December!

December is here!

So we spruced the place up and got all holidayed.

Ellie and Logan getting into the spirit.

PJ and Bryce dressing the highest limbs of the tree.

A nativity scene that Josh has from his mission in Chicago more than 13
Christmases ago.

A messy, but happy and festive living room full of kidlets.

Ellie loves the tree.

I love that excited air that fills the house as we break out all or our beloved Christmas trinkets.  The kids were most excited to bust out our chocolate advent calendars (my mom brought these to us just after Thanksgiving and the kids have been itching to open them every night since then).  Our living room is graced by a brand new, pre-lit tree this year and Josh is THRILLED about that.  Our old tree was not pre-lit and you had to install each and every branch individually, hammering them into place then spreading the wire pieces of the branch.  It was always a process that made our dad grumpy which makes tree assembly and decoration not quite as fun (silly old bear...but you know what, that even bit was nostalgic too).

It is always fun to pull out our home made bits and pieces and decorate the house.  We have school projects and family projects that add a layer of memories and fun to our holiday and I just love it.  Hope you all have a great time prepping to celebrate the Christmas season.

Merry Christmas from the DeMoux family.
